Watching Riku stagger into the kitchen, Axel arched one eyebrow.
"You don't look fine," he said, frowning. "In fact I'm pretty sure I said, verbatim, that you look like hell. 'Cuz you do."
When he heard the faucet running then, though, he got to his feet and moved quickly into the kitchen, reaching out over Riku's head and shutting the water off.
"Uh-uh," he said with a shake of his head. "If you're sick enough to be sent home from work, I don't want your germy paws all over the dishes. Last thing we need is for all three of us to wind up sick, you know?"
Granted, since they shared a relatively small space it was likely Riku would be sharing whatever he'd come down with anyway, but Axel wasn't about to invite it.
